Vincent's Club awards a series of scholarships each year to current and prospective student athletes up to a value of £10,000 per year. Over the past six years the premier scholarship, the Sir Roger Bannister Award, has been awarded to a Cross Country or Athletic Club member with many other members receiving smaller awards between £500 to £5000.

Applications are principally judged on the follow core values:

  • Strong academic attainment coupled with sporting achievement and potential

  • Strength of character, fellowship and leadership potential

  • An interest in participation in broader activities, including outreach

  • A commitment to helping those less fortunate

Rebecca Flaherty winning U20 National Cross Country

Rebecca Flaherty

GB Cross Country & Mountain Running

Rebecca won the individual gold medal and led GB to a team gold in the U20 World Mountain and Trail Running Championships 2023. In 2025/26 she represented GB at both the European Cross Country Championships and World University Games. She won the National Cross Country and a silver in the 5000m at BUCS Outdoors.

GB 800m

Jack was selected for GB in 2025 to compete at the Loughborough International after a season which included wins in both Americas tour Matches against Harvard/Yale and Penn/Cornell. In 2026 he won gold at the BUCS indoor championships and silver at BUCS outdoors.

Tom Wood

GB Mountain Running

Tom represented GB at the European Off-Road Running Championships in Ljubljana-Kamnik, Slovenia. He placed 5th at BUCS XC in 2024 where the team finished second and was also part of the BUCS XC gold medal winning team in 2026.
