Scholarships
Vincent's Club awards a series of scholarships each year to current and prospective student athletes up to a value of £10,000 per year. Over the past six years the premier scholarship, the Sir Roger Bannister Award, has been awarded to a Cross Country or Athletic Club member, with many other members receiving smaller awards.
Events
Bannister Miles
Run every year on the first May Bank Holiday, it has two components: a Community Mile held in the morning and the Track Miles in the afternoon. The Community Mile sees over 1,300 people participating, while the Track Miles has seen eight athletes braking the 4-min barrier over the past two years. Previous winners include Olympians Georgia Bell and Osama Meslek.
Teddy Hall Relays
Teddy Hall Relays is an established part of the student running calendar, attracting entries from university teams across the country and many teams from local athletics clubs and residents. The current race covers a 4x4.35 mile course over the three bridges, through Christ Church Meadow and starting/finishing on the Iffley Road Track, followed by a post-race tea at Teddy Hall.
Blues Varsity Matches
The Inter-'Varsity Cross-Country Race is one of the oldest inter-club matches still in existence and has a rich history. Hosted on neutral ground on Wimbledon Common by the world’s oldest cross-country club, Thames Hare & Hounds, it is an iconic race and an experience unlike no other in club cross-country races.
